Third Degree Prescription Pill Theft, Possession of CDS Dismissed After PTI Without a Plea

State v. VC (2017)

Charged with Theft of Prescription pills from a pharmacy, 3rd degree offenses in violation of NJSA 2C:20-2b(2)c and Possession of CDS, a 3rd degree offense, in violation of NJSA 2C:35-10(a)1.

After negotiations, VC was admitted into Pre-trial Intervention (PTI) without a plea for 1 year.  Charges were ultimately dismissed.
