State v. LS (2022)
LS was originally charged with Simple Assault, a disorderly persons offense contrary to NJSA 2C:12-1(a)1 and Terroristic Threats, a third-degree offense, contrary to NJSA 2C:12-3b.
During a domestic argument, LS was accused of striking and threatening to kill the victim. After extensive negotiations and providing numerous documents to the prosector, LS ultimately to Harassment, a petty disorderly persons offense and was sentenced to fines and penalties only.
