What is a Conditional Discharge?
Transcript
A conditional discharge is a program that is offered by the courts for first-time drug offenders who were charged with disorderly person offenses. Essentially, a conditional discharge is a program where you're on a formal period of probation. You would have a probation officer, you would have to have random urines, you would have to pay fines, but as long as you completed that period of probation, as long as you had no new arrests, and as long as you did everything that your probation officer wants you to do, at the end of that year, the charges against you would be dismissed. It's important to hire an attorney who has an intimate knowledge of whether or not you are eligible for a program like this in order to get the best results for you.
