I was Arrested with Domestic Violence and Given a Temporary Restraining Order Against Me

Transcript

If you've been arrested for some type of domestic violence, whether it be an assault or a criminal mischief or a harassment, uh, many times what goes along with that is what's called a temporary restraining order that was filed by, uh, the alleged victim. Uh, essentially that person goes down to, uh, the police department and makes application before the municipal court judge indicating the facts of why they would need to have these restraints against you. It's important to understand that as soon as a temporary restraining order has been issued against you, you need to find an attorney who has experience defending against what will ultimately be a final restraining order hearing.
